Eliza and the Bear – Friends

London’s Eliza and the Bear are quickly becoming a act to watch in 2013. Already amassing a nice global fan base, getting airplay on Triple J Radio in Australia, and with only 4 singles to their name is a rather good effort. You can’t help be enjoy their music, its got so much uplifting energy to it. I walked away feeling awesome with myself for no reason at all haha.

@TheLakePoets – Edinburgh & With Me

One of the best musical finds for me this years!! I can not stop wanting for this voice, its so hypnotic and beautiful. I am totally taken with The Lake Poets aka Martin Longstaff and his music.

I hope I get to see him live at some point would be rather epic I think!!

Branchez – Shake:Stay:Triple J Mix Up

Marques Toliver – Land of CanAan

Ok so this is a double post about Marques Toliver.

The first is to let you all know he has just released his debut album “Land of CanAan“.

After having a quick listen of it on his sound cloud page. I really like the mixture of sounds and styles that are on this album. Marques seems to have the ability to capture you with his music and beautiful vocals, he then proceeds to take you on a music journey with great use of instruments and change ups and not to forget his song writing. Land of CanAan is very a solid album from start to finish, so good it is the first entry into EARSX Top Albums of 2013.

The Second is the first time I saw him play @jamesblake gig as support back in 2011

For me Marques Toliver started with a track called White Sails. A mate said I’ve got a ticket for James blake wanna come..I’m like ok, not sold on Jame blake’s music at this point (he was awesome by the way)..We get there to catch the support act Marques Toliver totally fresh music to my ears which I always love.

So happy that i got to witness seeing this guy solo on stage huge glass of red wine and a violin..It was truly amazing the emotion and passion that he delivers thought his music is “MIND BLOWING”

Under Scarlet Skies – Sanctuary

Thanks to Dom Alessio’s Unearthed Five on Triple J Radio for sharing these guys.

Under Scarlet Skies are talented bastards ( I say this with love haha) with a massive sound, I wish they had a full length album out now!!  Unfortunately they are still in high school so time and funding could definitely be a issue for them at this point in time, but when they get the time and $$$ to get a solid recording like the above track… “HOLY SHIT BALLS” they are going to kill it!!

Kyle Bent – Mind Control
